In one paragraph
FuelNote is a free personal fuel-tracking service offered as-is. You own your data and can export or delete it at any time. Don't abuse the service or break the law. If something goes seriously wrong, our liability is limited.
The service
FuelNote is a Progressive Web Application that lets you log vehicle fill-ups and view mileage, cost, and spend trends. Personal use is free. There is no paid tier today. A paid tier may launch in the future for organisational accounts; if so, it will not strip features from your existing personal account.
Your account
- You must use a real email address you control. We use it only for magic-link sign-in.
- You are responsible for any activity under your account.
- One account per person; family sharing on a single account is fine.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to break the service.
- Use the service to store unlawful content.
- Interfere with other users' access to the service.
- Attempt to bypass per-account rate limits or quotas.
Your data
You own the fuel-log data you create. We hold a limited licence to store and process it for the sole purpose of running FuelNote for you. Detailed handling is in our Privacy Policy.
You can export everything (CSV / JSON) from Settings → Export, and delete your account from Settings → Delete account.
Availability & changes
We aim for high availability but make no SLA on the free tier. Feature changes, deprecations, and breaking changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance on the changelog and via email where appropriate.
Limitations
FuelNote is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Don't rely on it as your only copy of data that legally must be preserved (e.g. mileage records for tax purposes you can't reconstruct). Keep your own backup via the Export tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; we will email you before doing so unless an immediate suspension is necessary to protect the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Changes to these terms
We'll email registered users at least 30 days before any material change takes effect. The current version, with the effective date above, supersedes any prior version.
