Tracking gas mileage finds problems before your wallet does.
A sudden drop in fuel mileage is one of the earliest signs of trouble — under-inflated tyres, a dirty air filter, a failing oxygen sensor, a stuck brake caliper. By the time the warning light comes on, you've already lost weeks of fuel economy. A fuel mileage tracker that logs every fill-up gives you the baseline to spot the drop in the first week, not the first month.
Mileage is also the cleanest signal for cost-per-kilometre, which is what actually matters when you're deciding whether to keep a car, switch to public transport, or take the bike instead. A guesstimate is wrong by 20–40%. FuelNote computes it from your real fill-ups in the background.
For multi-vehicle households — a car and a bike, or a scooter and a sedan — separate per-vehicle mileage history makes the maintenance story clear. The bike you ride twice a week shouldn't be guessed at; it should be measured.

Fuel mileage tracker FAQ
The questions people ask before installing a fuel mileage tracker. Honest answers, no fluff.
What is a fuel mileage tracker?
A fuel mileage tracker is an app that records every fill-up — litres, price, and the distance driven since the last fill — and calculates your fuel economy automatically. FuelNote shows mileage in km/L, MPG or L/100km, plus cost-per-km and monthly spend.
How does FuelNote calculate fuel mileage?
Mileage between two fill-ups = distance since last fill ÷ litres added. You enter the trip-meter delta (km driven since last fill) — not the absolute odometer — and FuelNote does the math at save time. The 30-day rolling average smooths out partial tanks and bad days.
Which units does the fuel mileage tracker support?
km/L (common in India, Africa, parts of Asia), MPG (US and UK), and L/100km (Europe, Australia, Canada). Switch between them any time without losing data.
Does the tracker work offline?
Yes. FuelNote loads from a service-worker cache, so you can open it at any pump, with or without signal. Your fill-up queues locally and syncs to every device on your account when you're back online.
Is FuelNote free?
Yes. FuelNote is free for personal use — no ads, no in-app upsells, no third-party trackers. Privacy-first by design.
Can I track multiple vehicles?
Yes — cars, motorcycles, scooters, vans and light trucks. Each vehicle has its own mileage history, cost-per-km, and monthly spend. Switch between vehicles in one tap.
Will it work for petrol, diesel, CNG and electric vehicles?
FuelNote is designed for liquid-fuel vehicles (petrol/gasoline, diesel) where you record litres per fill. CNG support is on the roadmap; EV charge logging is being scoped.
How is FuelNote different from Fuelly, Fuelio or Drivvo?
FuelNote is web-first (works on phone, tablet and laptop), no-ads, offline-first and faster to log a fill-up. Fuelly is community-driven with a public garage. Fuelio is a deep Android-only app with a gas-price database. Drivvo is a multi-platform vehicle manager with a freemium ads tier. See our honest comparisons.
